Tap bar

This unique rainwater facility was developed in close collaboration with the Pumping Station staff. The process began with mapping the water needs of this special location: a technical inventory served as the starting point. This was followed by an interactive design process involving an enthusiastic and outspoken group of stakeholders. During various sessions, we jointly explored the design of the facility, the desired functions, and the organization of its management.

In the design, the needs and wishes are linked to the character of the traditional pumping station. We translated these into form, color, and functionality. The rainwater object is not only functional but also educational: a tool to provide insight into the current rainwater issue for schoolchildren, local residents, and visitors. At the same time, it forms an aesthetic eye-catcher that aligns with the signature and ambition of the Gemaal op Zuid.

The realization took place together with the employees of the Gemaal op Zuid. They were inspiring, energy-filled work sessions in which collaborative building and creating took center stage.
